In short
This website doesn't set any cookies of its own. It saves one item in your browser's local storage, and only after you make a privacy choice. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media tracking.
The Google Maps map and the live Food Standards Agency (FSA) food hygiene badge are optional. They only load if you allow them, and their providers may then set their own cookies. More about how we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
What this website stores
Your optional-content choice
- Name:
lapen-privacy - Type: browser local storage on this website (not a cookie)
- Set when: you choose to allow or deny optional content, or save your own choices
- Purpose: remembers your choice so we don't ask on every visit
- Holds: whether Google Maps and the FSA badge are on or off, when you chose, and when the choice expires
- Kept for: 180 days. We ask again when it expires or when what is optional changes.
It isn't sent to us or to anyone else. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies only to the page you're on.
When we checked the live site on 26 October 2026, no cookies were set by its pages or its hosting.
Optional content from other providers
Google Maps map (contact page)
Loads from Google (google.com, googleapis.com and gstatic.com). Google may receive your IP address and browser information, and may store or read information on your device under its own privacy policy. When we checked on 26 October 2026 in a fresh browser, the map set no cookies.
FSA food hygiene badge (footer)
Loads from the Food Standards Agency (ratings.food.gov.uk and api.ratings.food.gov.uk). When we checked on 26 October 2026, it set one cookie, ApplicationGatewayAffinityCORS, on ratings.food.gov.uk. It lasts until you close your browser. See the FSA's cookie policy and privacy notice.
Booking, phone, menus, opening hours, directions links and the link to our food hygiene record on food.gov.uk work whatever you choose.
Links to other websites
Booking on Nabatable, directions in Google Maps and our social pages open on those services' own websites. Their cookie and privacy information applies there, not this page.
Changing your choice
Your current choice
Checking your saved choice…
You can also use Privacy choices at the bottom of any page. Turning optional content off removes it from the page and stops it loading again. It doesn't delete information a provider has already received or cookies it has already set; you can clear those in your browser settings.
